Rafa Ortega will return to the Juvenil “D” dugout for a second consecutive season after winning the league title and securing promotion to the 3ª Andaluza Juvenil last season, completing the entire campaign unbeaten. The challenge will remain the same: to integrate and develop the talent of the different players who will make up the squad as they progress towards professional football.
José Carlos Herrera will continue alongside him as the team’s fitness coach, also returning for a second consecutive season. His aim will be to maintain a positive influence on injury prevention and the development of the players’ physical conditioning. Paco Salvago will also remain in his role, once again taking responsibility for the specialised training of the Juvenil team’s goalkeepers.
The coaching staff will be completed by the arrival of Daniel Fernández Macías as assistant coach. Fernández is a coach at the Sevilla FC Academy and was part of the CD AD Nervión staff that achieved promotion to the Segunda Andaluza Sénior last season. Francisco Javier Méndez Castro also joins the group responsible for supporting the development of our young talents, taking on the role of team delegate.
The team will begin pre-season on 10 August with an initial series of fitness tests, following the relevant medical examinations. With this coaching structure in place, Juvenil “D” approaches the new season with ambition and continuity, reinforcing its commitment to the development and education of young footballers in a highly demanding environment.
