Sevilla FC “D” victory over Torre Reina

Matchday 22 of the competition saw C.D. Torre Reina face Sevilla FC “D” at the Torre de la Reina Municipal Stadium. Juvenil “D” approached a decisive fixture firmly at the top of the table, holding a 10-point lead over second-placed Estrella San Agustín. The setting was far from easy, as the Campo Municipal Rabasa hosted a match in which the Nervionense side needed to prove their title credentials on the pitch.

From the opening whistle, the game was played at a high level of competitive intensity, with both sides contesting every ball with determination. The referee quickly established his disciplinary standard, booking Antonio Asencio in the early stages.

Sevilla FC strengthens its educational commitment with a new Work Experience programme visit alongside Colegio de Fomento Tabladilla

During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the club’s facilities, including the Estadio Jesús Navas and the various training pitches used by academy teams. This experience allowed them to gain insight into the club’s daily operations and better understand its sporting and organizational structure.

As part of the programme, participants also took part in an interview on the radio show Contigo Sevilla, featuring teacher José Medel alongside first-year baccalaureate students José María Mingorance and Gerardo San Román. During the segment, they highlighted the importance of the Work Experience programme as a key tool for students’ academic and career guidance.

Led by the school, this initiative offers students a work placement experience lasting between two and four days in different professional environments before choosing their university pathway. Since its launch in 2017, Sevilla FC has played an active role in the programme, providing access to various departments such as medical services, sporting management, and media and communications, among others.

Through initiatives like this, Sevilla FC reaffirms its commitment to the holistic development of young people, contributing to talent development beyond the pitch and strengthening its role as an educational and social benchmark.

The U12 side were crowned champions after a highly consistent performance throughout the competition, showing strong competitiveness and great efficiency at both ends of the pitch. The team maintained a clear playing identity from the group stage through to the final, where they secured the title.

Meanwhile, the U10 team achieved a commendable third-place finish, competing at a high level and demonstrating character and commitment across the tournament.

Beyond the results, both teams represented the Academy with distinction, reflecting the strong developmental work and values promoted by the Sevilla FC Academy on and off the pitch.

Goalless draw for Sevilla “D” in a demanding Friendly against Atlético Algabeño

Last Saturday, March 28, Sevilla “D” faced a highly demanding friendly fixture against Atlético Algabeño, a team competing in a higher division, offering an excellent opportunity to assess the competitive level of the Nervión-based side.

The match began with a determined and ambitious Sevilla, fully aware of the challenge ahead. From the opening minutes, the team displayed high intensity and quickly created danger. In the second minute, Abdullah Aljirafi had the first chance following an impressive team move, but the home goalkeeper denied the goal. SAGE College enjoys its second training experience with Sevilla FC Academy

During the afternoon, players from the Jerez-based club joined the regular 5:30 PM training session. In this slot, they trained alongside three academy teams, working under the well-known development methodology that defines the club.

Later, at 6:30 PM, the day continued with two matches. First, a 7-a-side game was played between two youth teams—one from the academy and one from SAGE College. In addition, a second match took place in the 11-a-side format, where the visiting side faced another academy team.

Beyond the pitch, both groups also enjoyed a guided tour of the training facilities. Accompanied by academy staff, they had the opportunity to explore key areas such as the Estadio Jesús Navas, the press room, and the various pitches that make up the complex.

A complete and enriching day that strengthens the relationship between both institutions and allows young players to experience firsthand what it is like to train and compete in a professional environment.

Historic performance by Juvenil “D” to remain leaders and unbeaten

Juvenil “D” approached Matchday 25 in excellent form, following a 10-0 win over Mairena in the previous round and a midweek friendly victory. Their opponents, Santa Clara, sitting 14th in the standings, were unable to contain the attacking power of a side that remains unbeaten, with only one draw all season.

The match was effectively decided in the opening minutes. In the 3rd minute, Alejandro Piña, the league’s top scorer, opened the scoring with a composed lob over the goalkeeper. Just one minute later, Raúl Martínez made it two, and within ten minutes he completed a hat-trick, highlighting the team’s early dominance. The fourth goal came from an Olympic goal, underlining the attacking quality on display.

The intensity did not drop. In the 15th minute, Alejandro Piña scored again, and shortly after, the team extended their lead through Javier Geniz and two more goals from Piña, who reached a poker (four goals).

Before halftime, Juvenil “D” further increased their advantage with six additional goals. Estefan Mario scored twice, Lucas Serna added another, and Alejandro Piña netted three more, closing a first half of maximum attacking efficiency with a commanding 0-14.
