Sevilla FC “D” wins at the start of the second half of the season

Sevilla FC “D” went into the match placed fifth in the standings, level on points with the fourth-ranked team, facing an Isbilya Balompié side positioned second from bottom with five points. The encounter was played without spectators and marked the start of the second half of the campaign, following the 6–0 win secured by Sevilla in the first leg.

The opening stages of the game were tight and scrappy, with both teams struggling to find fluency in their attacking play. However, in the 28th minute, Abdullah Aljirafi opened the scoring for the visitors by confidently converting a penalty.

Before the interval, the home side found an equaliser from a set-piece situation, capitalising on several rebounds from a corner kick, sending the match into half-time level on the scoreboard.

fter completing an excellent first half of the season, Juvenil “D” began the second round of league fixtures facing Pablo VI, a team occupying sixth place in the table. In the previous meeting between the two sides, the Nervión-based team had claimed a 3–1 away victory.

The side coached by Rafa Ortega enjoyed a strong first half, displaying composure in possession and creating several scoring opportunities. Their dominance earned them a penalty, which was ultimately saved by the opposing goalkeeper. As the half progressed, the visitors grew into the game and began to threaten the Sevilla goal on several occasions.

In the 29th minute, Raúl Martínez gave Juvenil “D” the lead, finishing a well-worked attacking move to make it 1–0. Before the break, the home side continued to push forward and came close to extending their advantage, most notably through Estefan Mario, whose effort just before half-time narrowly cleared the crossbar.

After the restart, the match became more evenly balanced, with few clear chances at either end. Daniel Morilla played a key role by producing an outstanding one-on-one save to preserve the lead. However, minutes later, the visitors drew level after capitalising on a defensive rebound.

Juvenil “D” strengthen their lead with an away victory

Juvenil “D” went into the fixture after closing an excellent first half of the season with 13 consecutive victories and sitting alone at the top of the table. Rafa Ortega’s side faced Peña Bética Alcalá, who were tenth in the standings, with the aim of continuing to build on their advantage at the summit.

From the opening whistle, the team displayed a high level of play and clear superiority. The opening goal arrived early, in the 3rd minute, when Ben Kamishon played a perfectly weighted through ball behind the defence to Áron Németh, who calmly rounded the goalkeeper to open the scoring.

Just three minutes later, Antonio Asencio doubled the lead with a fine individual move, finishing with a powerful strike from outside the box into the far corner. Sevilla’s dominance continued, and in the 21st minute, Raúl Martínez made it three, converting confidently in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.

The attacking display showed no signs of slowing, and Salvador Ballesta took centre stage before the break, scoring a quick brace to send the team into half-time with a commanding 0–5 lead.

In the second half, Juvenil “D” maintained control of the match and continued to create chances. In the 67th minute, Áron Németh completed his brace to seal the 0–6 final score.

With this result, Juvenil “D” strengthen their position as unbeaten league leaders, extending their winning streak to 14 consecutive matches, and once again underlining the team’s excellent collective performance.

The scoring was completed in the 86th minute, when Eduardo Mangles finished calmly from close range following an assist from Abdullah Aljirafi, rounding off a commanding team performance.

Educational gathering between Sevilla FC Academy and Atlético Villanueva

On January 8, Sevilla FC Academy held a day of shared activities with Atlético Villanueva, who traveled to the Sports City with teams ranging from the Baby to Cadet categories.

Throughout the day, matches were played across all age groups, involving both federated and non-federated teams from the Antonio Puerta Academy and Atlético Villanueva. The event promoted an atmosphere of togetherness, sportsmanship, and shared learning.

Beyond the results, the activity allowed players to enjoy an enriching experience grounded in sporting values such as respect, effort, fair play, and coexistence between clubs fundamental pillars of Sevilla FC Academy’s educational methodology.

These types of encounters reinforce the commitment of the Antonio Puerta Academy to holistic education, where football becomes a key tool for the personal and social development of young athletes.

Success of the Sevilla FC Academy Christmas Clinics

The Women’s Clinic welcomed around 50 players, while the Men’s Clinic brought together about 30 players, making it a formative experience for nearly 80 children in total. Over the three days, participants were able to learn, improve, and enjoy football in a safe, motivating environment aligned with the club’s values.

The sessions were led by coaches from the Antonio Puerta Academy, professionals experienced in training academy players who currently compete at the elite level, ensuring high-quality teaching in line with Sevilla FC’s methodological standards.


On the first day, an introductory informational talk was held for players and family members, explaining how the clinics work and addressing any questions. The presentation was delivered by María Cheza, goalkeeper of the women’s first team, and Eduardo García, coach of the Antonio Puerta Academy. Following this, participants received the official clinic kit.


During the second day, several players from the women’s first team visited the clinic to greet participants, share experiences, offer technical advice, and actively take part in a portion of the training, creating a particularly enriching moment for the young players.


The clinics concluded on the third day with the presence of María Cheza and Amparo Gutiérrez, Director of Women’s Football at Sevilla FC. The final day included a raffle of shirts and balls signed by the women’s first-team players, as well as the distribution of gifts for all participants, perfectly capping off an unforgettable formative and emotional experience.

Sevilla FC Academy’s Bebé crowned JD Cup Champions

The Sevilla FC Academy’s Bebé “A” team, coached by Álvaro Cabrera, delivered an outstanding performance last Friday, December 26, at the JD Cup, held at the Séneca CF ground. The tournament, played in a league format, ended with a perfect record for the Nervión-based side, who won all five matches they contested.

In addition to the team’s excellent collective performance, the tournament organization recognized the individual efforts of players Iván Ortiz and Mario Fuentes, who were both named to the competition’s Best 7.

Beyond the sporting results, participation in the JD Cup proved to be a highly enriching experience for the players’ overall development, allowing them to compete outside of Seville and continue their training process in line with the values and methodology of the Sevilla FC Academy.

Sevilla FC “D” close the year with a solid victory over Unión Gerena

The fixture played prior to the Christmas break was a crucial one for both sides. Sevilla FC “D” arrived on the back of two consecutive victories and sat in fifth place in the table, while Unión Gerena, fourth in the standings and three points ahead of the hosts, were also enjoying a positive run of results.

From the opening minutes, the Sevilla side showed clear intent to control the game and push for all three points. That approach was rewarded in the 9th minute, when Manu Cruzado delivered a cross into the area that was met by Pablo García, forcing a save from the visiting goalkeeper. Álvaro Perea reacted quickest to the rebound to open the scoring.

Sevilla FC “D” maintained their dominance, creating further chances through calm and composed play. Unión Gerena also enjoyed a few attacking moments, all of which were comfortably dealt with by Mario Rodríguez in goal. Shortly before half-time, in the 40th minute, Álvaro Perea struck again from a corner kick, capitalising on a rebound to complete his brace and extend the lead.

After the break, the home side continued to display solidity and control, generating additional opportunities without being able to add to the scoreline, while limiting the visitors’ attacking threat.

With this victory, Sevilla FC “D” head into the Christmas break in fifth place, level on points with Unión Gerena, and extend their winning streak to three consecutive victories. Beyond the result, the team can be satisfied with the performances and positive momentum built at the end of the year.

The match played last Friday at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground was of crucial importance for the league standings, as it brought together the top two teams in the table: Juvenil “D”, the current leaders, and La Motilla, who arrived in second place. Both sides came into the fixture in excellent form, with the home team unbeaten and holding a three-point advantage over their closest challengers.

From the opening whistle, Juvenil “D” took control of the game, dictating the tempo and dominating possession. The Sevilla side created the first clear chances of the match, including an early opportunity that was denied by the visiting goalkeeper. The hosts displayed fluid ball movement and generated several promising attacks in the opening minutes, although they initially struggled to turn dominance into goals.

The breakthrough came midway through the first half when Lucas Serna delivered an incisive pass to Sergio Chacón, who beat his marker and calmly finished inside the area to give the Nervión-based side the lead. Sevilla FC Academy receives a visit from SAGE College at the Training Ground.

On Monday, December 15, Sevilla FC Academy welcomed SAGE College from Jerez de la Frontera to the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground, with the visit of the school’s Alevín A team and the team developed jointly by Sevilla FC Academy and SAGE College.

During the visit, the delegation from the Jerez-based school enjoyed a guided tour of Sevilla FC’s training facilities, including the Jesús Navas Stadium, the various academy training pitches, and the press room, where Sevilla FC players and coaching staff regularly address the media.

In addition to the institutional tour, the young players experienced a memorable moment with a surprise visit from first-team players José Ángel Carmona and Marcao Teixeira, with whom they were able to take photographs and share a special experience. To conclude the day, both teams took part in a friendly match against teams from the Antonio Puerta Football School, in an atmosphere focused on learning and sportsmanship.

This visit forms part of the “SAGE Football School by Sevilla FC Academy” programme, a collaboration that reinforces the shared commitment to high-quality sporting and educational development, based on values, personal growth and excellence. Special visit from José Ángel Carmona and Marcão to the Antonio Puerta Academy

On December 15, the boys and girls of the Antonio Puerta Academy enjoyed a very special day with the visit of José Ángel Carmona and Marcão, players from Sevilla FC’s first team, who wanted to spend time with the youngest members of the Sevilla youth academy.

During the visit, both players shared moments with the young athletes, taking photos and signing autographs, creating an atmosphere full of excitement and joy. Carmona and Marcão had planned to train alongside the boys and girls of the Antonio Puerta School, but adverse weather conditions prevented this activity from taking place.

Nevertheless, the day continued successfully, as the players took the opportunity to get to know the different teams of the Antonio Puerta Academy firsthand, paying special attention to the squads that bear their names: the “Marcão” U9 team and the “Carmona” Baby team.

Without a doubt, it was an unforgettable experience for the students of the Antonio Puerta Academy. Although they were unable to share a training session on the pitch, they still had the chance to enjoy unique moments with the first-team players in the locker rooms, further strengthening their bond with the club and its role models.
