A youth academy with its own identity

The school is built on the solid reputation of Sevilla’s youth academy, recognized not only for producing talented players but also for instilling strong values. Training sessions take place at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports and Business Campus, a first-class facility featuring state-of-the-art artificial turf fields, 3×3 training grounds, classrooms, changing rooms, a cafeteria, and ample parking. New: Federation teams in the RFAF

One of the highlights this season will be the affiliation of the Antonio Puerta School teams, which will integrate into the Sevilla FC Academy structure and compete in the leagues of the Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF).

This step is part of a pilot project aimed at the youngest categories (Babies, Prebenjamins, Benjamins, and Alevins). Students will be evaluated by both academy and school coaches to ensure that the competition format aligns with their stage of learning.
The aim, the organization explains, “is to provide different competitive stimuli that promote the comprehensive development of the players.”

Ages, schedule, and timings

The school is open to boys and girls born between 2010 and 2021, covering Cadet, Infantil, Alevín, Benjamín, Prebenjamín, and Baby categories. The season will start on September 15, 2025, and run until June 7, 2026, following Sevilla’s school calendar.

Each student will be assigned to a team with two one-hour training sessions per week, at 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, or 7:30 PM. Fridays will be reserved for competitions and internal events, reinforcing the program’s fun and social component.

Complete sports kit

Enrolled students will receive a full kit from Adidas, including two match kits (shirt, shorts, and socks), a tracksuit, a training sweatshirt, a rain jacket, and a backpack, ensuring that all students can enjoy the experience wearing the official Sevilla FC colors.

The new season at Sevilla FC Academy – Antonio Puerta is already being lived with great excitement from day one. While official training begins in September, the action is already underway with unforgettable moments like the participation of our students in the 14th Antonio Puerta Trophy, held this Monday at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium.

The boys and girls from the academy had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, attending the match from the Preferencia stands and taking center stage on the pitch after the game between Sevilla FC and Al-Qadsiah. They posed for an emotional group photo at midfield and were surprised by special visits from honorary president Joaquín Caparrós and team captain Nemanja Gudelj, who both joined in to share the moment and take souvenir photos with the students.

These memories mark just the beginning of a season full of football, learning, values, and Sevillismo. The Sevilla FC Academy offers a high-quality training environment where sporting progress is combined with fun and safety — all under the guidance of club professionals and with access to top-level facilities.

Last week marked the final two visits of first-team players to the Antonio Puerta Football School. On this occasion, Carmona, Kike Salas, and Gudelj were the featured guests, spending time with various student groups during training and sharing moments that included photos and friendly chats.

These visits aim to bring young athletes closer to their role models while reinforcing the core values championed by the school: tolerance, teamwork, motivation, and commitment. This initiative aligns with the school’s broader mission: to teach football, develop athletes, and most importantly, shape well-rounded individuals.

The event served as a fitting end to an exciting season, just ahead of the opening of registration for the 2025/26 academic year. It’s worth noting that enrollment is open to all children, regardless of their skill level. The program includes medical check-ups during the first term, as well as the support of a dedicated team of psychologists to assist with student integration.

As part of its educational approach, the school also runs the Antonio Puerta Educational League, held on Friday afternoons starting in November at the Ciudad Deportiva.

The Integra Association visited the facilities of the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios of Sevilla FC, specifically the Antonio Puerta Football School, on the occasion of World Autism Day.

The activity, organized by the Sevilla FC Foundation, aims to promote sports as a means of social integration, serving as an example. It included a brief talk by Salvador Bernal to the School’s players, highlighting the importance of social integration and sports as a way to achieve it.

The joint activity between both teams began with a training session and ended with a match in which players from the Integra Association, the Antonio Puerta Football School, and members of Sevilla Genuine were able to share a team and enjoy an enriching sports experience.

The students of the Antonio Puerta Football School didn’t want to wait and took advantage of the Royal Postman’s first visit to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán to personally deliver their letters to Their Majesties, the Three Wise Men. The children arrived at Sevilla FC’s stadium in age-based groups and received a Sevilla-themed gift from the Royal Postman.

This special gift will be available to everyone who hands in their letters at Gate 2 of the stadium until January 4. Additionally, the Antonio Puerta School students enjoyed the festive attractions set up at the Gol Sur esplanade for Christmas celebrations.

“We are celebrating the 16th year of the school that bears the name of our eternal number 16. That same number tells us very different stories. First and foremost, this school is the best possible tribute to our Antonio Puerta. At Sevilla FC, we remember him and keep him present every single day, but I believe that through this school bearing his name, his name being spoken by all these boys and girls is one of the most cherished tributes for Antonio, who surely watches over you with enthusiasm and pride. The second meaning of 16 is that all these years of this wonderful project show that it is more alive than ever, instilling marvelous values in our children: equality, fraternity, camaraderie, education, and sports.
