Sevilla FC Academy’s Bebé crowned JD Cup Champions

The Sevilla FC Academy’s Bebé “A” team, coached by Álvaro Cabrera, delivered an outstanding performance last Friday, December 26, at the JD Cup, held at the Séneca CF ground. The tournament, played in a league format, ended with a perfect record for the Nervión-based side, who won all five matches they contested.

In addition to the team’s excellent collective performance, the tournament organization recognized the individual efforts of players Iván Ortiz and Mario Fuentes, who were both named to the competition’s Best 7.

Beyond the sporting results, participation in the JD Cup proved to be a highly enriching experience for the players’ overall development, allowing them to compete outside of Seville and continue their training process in line with the values and methodology of the Sevilla FC Academy.

Sevilla FC “D” close the year with a solid victory over Unión Gerena

The fixture played prior to the Christmas break was a crucial one for both sides. Sevilla FC “D” arrived on the back of two consecutive victories and sat in fifth place in the table, while Unión Gerena, fourth in the standings and three points ahead of the hosts, were also enjoying a positive run of results.

From the opening minutes, the Sevilla side showed clear intent to control the game and push for all three points. That approach was rewarded in the 9th minute, when Manu Cruzado delivered a cross into the area that was met by Pablo García, forcing a save from the visiting goalkeeper. Álvaro Perea reacted quickest to the rebound to open the scoring.

Sevilla FC “D” maintained their dominance, creating further chances through calm and composed play. Unión Gerena also enjoyed a few attacking moments, all of which were comfortably dealt with by Mario Rodríguez in goal. Shortly before half-time, in the 40th minute, Álvaro Perea struck again from a corner kick, capitalising on a rebound to complete his brace and extend the lead.

After the break, the home side continued to display solidity and control, generating additional opportunities without being able to add to the scoreline, while limiting the visitors’ attacking threat.

With this victory, Sevilla FC “D” head into the Christmas break in fifth place, level on points with Unión Gerena, and extend their winning streak to three consecutive victories. Beyond the result, the team can be satisfied with the performances and positive momentum built at the end of the year.

Both sides came into the fixture in excellent form, with the home team unbeaten and holding a three-point advantage over their closest challengers.

From the opening whistle, Juvenil “D” took control of the game, dictating the tempo and dominating possession. The Sevilla side created the first clear chances of the match, including an early opportunity that was denied by the visiting goalkeeper. The hosts displayed fluid ball movement and generated several promising attacks in the opening minutes, although they initially struggled to turn dominance into goals.

Sevilla FC Academy receives a visit from SAGE College at the Training Ground.

On Monday, December 15, Sevilla FC Academy welcomed SAGE College from Jerez de la Frontera to the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground, with the visit of the school’s Alevín A team and the team developed jointly by Sevilla FC Academy and SAGE College.

During the visit, the delegation from the Jerez-based school enjoyed a guided tour of Sevilla FC’s training facilities, including the Jesús Navas Stadium, the various academy training pitches, and the press room, where Sevilla FC players and coaching staff regularly address the media.

In addition to the institutional tour, the young players experienced a memorable moment with a surprise visit from first-team players José Ángel Carmona and Marcao Teixeira, with whom they were able to take photographs and share a special experience. To conclude the day, both teams took part in a friendly match against teams from the Antonio Puerta Football School, in an atmosphere focused on learning and sportsmanship.

This visit forms part of the “SAGE Football School by Sevilla FC Academy” programme, a collaboration that reinforces the shared commitment to high-quality sporting and educational development, based on values, personal growth and excellence. Sevilla FC “D” claim convincing victory over Bormujos GSport

Sevilla FC “D” approached matchday 11 following a previous win against Atlético Sumi, a result that had placed the team in fifth position in the league table. On this occasion, Óscar Olomo’s side hosted Bormujos GSport, who arrived in tenth place, at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground.

From the opening whistle, the Sevilla side set a high tempo and showed clear attacking intent, combining effectively and repeatedly exploiting the space behind the visiting defense. The dominance was rewarded with the opening goal in the 4th minute, when Abdullah Aljirafi capitalized on a precise through ball from Eduardo Mangles to break the deadlock.

The home side continued to control proceedings and, in the 14th minute, Abdullah Aljirafi struck again to double the lead. The Saudi forward finished a well-timed run with an elegant chip over the onrushing goalkeeper after a perfectly weighted pass from Borja Tellado.

Despite Sevilla’s control, Bormujos GSport managed to pull one back through an isolated move, briefly reintroducing uncertainty into the match. Before the break, the contest became more balanced, although Sevilla FC “D” still created opportunities to extend their advantage.

In the second half, the match grew more competitive, with the visitors pushing for an equalizer and Sevilla determined to seal the win. After several dangerous attacks, Javier Estévez netted the third goal, restoring calm for the home side.

The team entered the match boosted in morale following their previous victory, which kept them in top position with a three-point lead over second place. Their opponent, on the other hand, was in eleventh place after a recent draw.

From the start, the Sevilla side dominated the match. Alejandro Piña opened the scoring after a play sparked by effective high pressing of the opposing goalkeeper. The same player scored again in the 26th minute, finishing off an excellent team passing sequence. Sevilla FC “D” strengthens its squad with the signing of young american talent Kohen Caminiti

Sevilla FC “D” continues to reinforce its sporting project with the addition of Kohen Caminiti, an American footballer arriving from Pickerington North High School. Born in Ohio, the new Sevilla player operates as a right winger, bringing pace, creativity and attacking depth to Óscar Olomo’s team.

Caminiti joins the club after standing out in the Division I of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), one of the most competitive environments in U.S. youth football. The player was selected from the camp that Sevilla FC held in Columbus, co-organized with Blast FC. In this new stage, he will compete in the Tercera Andaluza, where he will continue his development within Spanish football.

His arrival reflects Sevilla FC’s ongoing commitment to attracting international young talent and offering them an ideal environment for growth. Kohen will integrate into the club’s comprehensive 360º methodology, a program that combines technical, tactical and physical development with complementary education in nutrition, academics and psychological preparation, all within the elite setting of the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Complex, one of the most advanced facilities in Europe.

Sevilla FC Academy takes part in the Winter Cup and Desert Cup

During the December holiday period, the U9 and U11 teams of Sevilla FC Academy took part in two prestigious youth tournaments held in Cártama (Málaga) and Roquetas de Mar (Almería), enjoying an experience of great sporting and educational value.

In Cártama, the Academy competed in the Winter Cup, with our first-year players joining the Benjamín C and Alevín C academy teams. The U9 side qualified for the Gold Phase, finishing the tournament as the best fourth-placed team in that phase. Meanwhile, the Alevín C delivered an outstanding performance in the Silver Phase, being crowned champions.

At the same time, our second-year players participated in the Desert Cup, held in Roquetas de Mar, in a demanding round-robin format that brought together top national and international academies. The U9 team faced high-level opponents such as Atlético de Madrid, Málaga CF, UD Almería, Benfica, Sporting CP, Granada CF, Valencia CF and Arsenal, while the U11 side competed against Granada CF, Villarreal CF, UD Almería, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Betis and CA Osasuna.

Beyond the results, participation in both tournaments represented a highly enriching experience for the players’ development and growth, allowing them to compete away from Sevilla, face some of the best academies in the national and international scene, and continue their education aligned with the values of Sevilla FC Academy.

Agoumé and Gudelj surprise the Antonio Puerta Academy

Last Tuesday, December 9, the players of the Antonio Puerta Academy received a very special visit during one of their training sessions. First-team players Lucien Agoumé and Nemanja Gudelj visited the training ground to spend time with the youngest members of the Sevilla FC academy.

Both footballers took part actively in the session, training alongside the academy teams and performing exercises such as rondos, while also interacting closely with the young players. It is worth highlighting that two teams within the Training School bear the players’ names: the Alevín “Agoumé” and the Prebenjamín “Gudelj”, which made the visit even more meaningful for the youngsters involved.

The day concluded with a photo and autograph session, during which the players showed great approachability, signing shirts, notebooks and scarves, and taking time to speak with the academy players.

An unforgettable experience for the boys and girls of the Antonio Puerta Academy, who had the opportunity to share special moments with role models from the first team.

Juvenil “D” claims a key victory to secure sole leadership

The match was of great importance for both teams, as they arrived level on points and sharing the leadership of the standings. Today’s encounter would determine who would take sole command of the top position: Sevilla FC’s Juvenil D or Estrella San Agustín.

The referee signaled the start of the match at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground. The visiting side displayed a very strong and tactically disciplined performance, making the opening minutes intense and filled with goal-scoring opportunities for both teams.

Estrella San Agustín showed why they were competing at the top of the table, with solid play, dangerous chances, and an effective high press. In the 26th minute, our full-back delivered a cross into the box seeking the forward’s finish, but the goalkeeper’s quick intervention denied the attempt. With the ball loose in the area, Raúl Martínez reacted fastest and found the net, scoring the opener and placing Sevilla momentarily at the top of the league.

Shortly after, Estefan Mario attempted to extend the lead with a powerful effort, but the rival goalkeeper produced an exceptional save. As the first half drew to a close, both sides generated additional chances before the referee sent the players to the locker rooms.

The second half began with a similar rhythm: opportunities for both teams and notable interventions from the goalkeepers. Raúl Martínez came close to doubling the lead with a close-range effort, but once again the visiting goalkeeper kept his team alive.

As the minutes went on, Juvenil D grew more comfortable and increasingly dominant, turning that control into clear chances on goal. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Pro carried the ball from his own half, combined with a teammate, and found the net after a rebound from the goalkeeper, extending the lead to 2–0.

The match concluded with a deserved victory for the home side, although it was a demanding encounter that promises an intense battle in the second round of the competition. With this result, Rafa Ortega’s team remains unbeaten and secures sole leadership, having been previously tied on points with Estrella San Agustín.

In the 5th minute, Abdullah Aljirafi opened the scoring for Sevilla D after an assist from Raymond Higham, finishing a precise attacking move. Just three minutes later, in the 8th minute, Edu Mangles extended the lead to 0–2, capitalising on a low pass across the box from Aljirafi.

The opposition reduced the deficit after taking advantage of an error in Sevilla’s build-up play. However, the visiting side responded firmly: in the 23rd minute, captain Borja Tellado made it 1–3, powerfully heading home a corner kick. Twelve minutes later, in the 35th minute, Tellado repeated the action, converting another corner at the far post with a strong finish to make it 1–4.

After the break, Sevilla D maintained control of the game and continued applying pressure in the opponent’s half. As a result of this high press, the team scored the final 1–5, through Álvaro Perea, who finished comfortably after winning the ball high up the pitch and receiving an assist from Fidel Morán.
