Santiponce in their second pre-season test"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Sevilla FC D<\/strong> played their <strong>second pre-season match<\/strong> last Tuesday, August 25, following their 0-2 victory over Hu\u00e9var CF in their opening test. On this occasion, the Nervion-based side travelled to the <strong>Juan Mu\u00f1oz Romero Stadium<\/strong> to face C.D. Santiponce in another fixture as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The match began at a <strong>high tempo<\/strong>, with both sides creating chances. Sevilla FC D could have taken the lead in the opening stages. Manu Cruzado came close to scoring directly from a corner, with his effort hitting the <strong>far post<\/strong>, while \u00c1lvaro Perea also tested the opposition goalkeeper with a shot from outside the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The home side also had a clear opportunity in a one-on-one situation, but <strong>Bob Almenas produced a good save<\/strong> to deny them. However, in the <strong>16th minute<\/strong>, C.D. Santiponce took the lead following a set-piece situation near the edge of the penalty area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sevilla FC D maintained <strong>control of the game for much of the first half<\/strong>, particularly down the left flank, where they managed to create several dangerous situations. Following the hydration break, the match became more evenly contested, with the home side going into half-time with a narrow advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the break, the Sevilla side came out determined to find an equaliser and took <strong>the initiative in possession<\/strong>. The good work from the midfielders and defensive line allowed the team to neutralise much of the opposition&#8217;s attacking play, while an <strong>effective pressing game<\/strong> also made it difficult for C.D. Santiponce to play out from the back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second half was characterised by <strong>greater intensity<\/strong> from both teams. In the final stages, Sevilla FC D increased their attacking pressure and created several opportunities to level the score. Two crosses from the flanks found <strong>Alpha Diallo and Sebastian Fineman<\/strong>, whose efforts went wide of the target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, the <strong>1-0<\/strong> scoreline remained unchanged until the final whistle.
