The fixture played prior to the Christmas break was a crucial one for both sides. Sevilla FC \u201cD\u201d<\/strong> arrived on the back of two consecutive victories and sat in fifth place in the table, while Uni\u00f3n Gerena<\/strong>, fourth in the standings and three points ahead of the hosts, were also enjoying a positive run of results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the opening minutes, the Sevilla side showed clear intent to control the game and push for all three points. That approach was rewarded in the 9th minute<\/strong>, when Manu Cruzado<\/strong> delivered a cross into the area that was met by Pablo Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, forcing a save from the visiting goalkeeper. \u00c1lvaro Perea<\/strong> reacted quickest to the rebound to open the scoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sevilla FC \u201cD\u201d maintained their dominance, creating further chances through calm and composed play. Uni\u00f3n Gerena also enjoyed a few attacking moments, all of which were comfortably dealt with by Mario Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> in goal. Shortly before half-time, in the 40th minute<\/strong>, \u00c1lvaro Perea<\/strong> struck again from a corner kick, capitalising on a rebound to complete his brace<\/strong> and extend the lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the break, the home side continued to display solidity and control, generating additional opportunities without being able to add to the scoreline, while limiting the visitors\u2019 attacking threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this victory, Sevilla FC \u201cD\u201d<\/strong> head into the Christmas break in fifth place<\/strong>, level on points with Uni\u00f3n Gerena<\/strong>, and extend their winning streak to three consecutive victories<\/strong>. Beyond the result, the team can be satisfied with the performances and positive momentum built at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n
