Sevilla FC’s goalkeepers inspire the players of the GK Academy
Nyland, Álvaro Ferllo, and Alberto Flores shared advice and experiences with the goalkeepers before gifting them some of their own gloves as an unforgettable keepsake
The past week has been especially inspiring for the young talents of the Goalkeeping Academy, the high-performance program for goalkeepers promoted by the Sevilla FC Innovation Center. First-team goalkeepers Orjan Nyland, Álvaro Ferllo, and Alberto Flores shared their professional experience with the students, offering practical advice and insights into various aspects of the game.
This project, launched a year and a half ago, aims to enhance the comprehensive development of goalkeepers through an approach that encompasses the technical, tactical, physical, and mental dimensions — all guided by the philosophy and methodology of the Seville-based club.
The Sevilla FC Academy’s offerings don’t stop there. Complementing the specialized Goalkeeping Academy is the newly launched Performance Academy — the club’s technical development academy for outfield players. This new initiative aims to strengthen the overall skill set of players, further expanding Sevilla FC’s range of sports training programs.
The sessions are led by coaches from the club’s Goalkeeper Department and take place at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground. Activities are available for players of all ages, from under-7s to seniors, and are open to individuals as well as sports organizations, educational institutions, and semi-professional teams.
