Sevilla FC “D” victory over Torre Reina
Sevilla FC “D” defeated C.D. Torre Reina at the Torre de la Reina Municipal Stadium after a hard-fought and very solid performance from the Sevillian side. Goals from Fidel Morán and Edu Mangles decided a match that was closely contested in the first half and controlled by the visitors after the break
Matchday 22 of the competition saw C.D. Torre Reina face Sevilla FC “D” at the Torre de la Reina Municipal Stadium. The hosts came into the game in seventh place, aiming to pick up points, while Sevilla “D”, sitting fifth in the standings, arrived following a convincing victory against El Ronquillo.
The match began with a very even opening phase, with hardly any clear chances for either side. The first dangerous approach came from the home team, although the shot went just wide. In the 29th minute, a set-piece delivered by Manu Cruzado allowed Gonzalo García to connect with a shot that was saved in two attempts by the home goalkeeper.
Sevilla FC “D” struck just before halftime. In the 40th minute, an excellent through ball from Gonzalo García allowed Fidel Morán to get ahead of the defense and finish with precision to make it 0–1. The same attacker tried his luck again before the break with a long-range effort that went off target.
After the restart, C.D. Torre Reina tried to step forward in search of an equalizer, increasing their presence in the opposition half. However, the Sevillian side managed to keep control of the match and extended their lead in the 60th minute thanks to Edu Mangles, who scored his seventh goal of the season following a well-worked attacking move.
After the second goal, the match became more open, with both teams pushing forward, although without creating many clear chances. Sevilla FC “D” also had opportunities to extend their lead, with a standout moment being a decisive save from Mamour Sené in the 83rd minute, stopping a dangerous free kick and keeping a clean sheet.
In the final moments, the visiting side nearly scored a third through Álvaro Perea, but the home goalkeeper reacted in time to prevent the goal.
In the end, Sevilla FC “D” secured a solid and hard-earned 0–2 victory, confirming their good form and reliability away from home.
