The José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports City witnessed an exciting international match with the visit of the Kashiwa Reysol cadet team from Japan, who played a friendly match against their counterparts from Sevilla FC. This encounter not only helped strengthen ties between both institutions but also promoted sports and cultural exchange among young players.

During their stay in Seville, the Japanese team also had the opportunity to participate in the Players Academy program, an initiative of Sevilla FC’s Innovation Center. Within this framework, Kashiwa Reysol players enjoyed an exclusive training session supervised by the Spanish club’s coaches, who shared their working methodology and football philosophy.

“Thank you for supporting us. This is a great experience for us because cultures are different, football culture is different, and that’s why this is good for us. There is a big difference between Japan and Spain. Japanese football culture is not as established in this aspect yet, but here, football already has a strong culture. Also, the facilities are very different. You have amazing stadiums and facilities; it’s something completely different,” explained the Japanese team’s coach, Kosuke Mimaki.

As part of their visit, the Japanese players and their coaching staff took part in the Stadium Tour at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium. Through this immersive experience, they had the chance to learn firsthand about Sevilla FC’s history and achievements.

This experience reinforces Sevilla FC’s commitment to international projection and global talent development through its Innovation Center, consolidating itself as a benchmark in youth football training and growth.
