Juvenil D begin their Andalusian Third division campaign with a victory

Sevilla FC Juvenil D began their new chapter in Tercera RFAF this Sunday, September 20, with a victory against UD Morón CF. The Sevilla side travelled to the Complejo Deportivo Alameda for their first official match of the season following a pre-season campaign in which the team produced positive performances and won the Almensilla Triangular.

Rafa Ortega’s side entered this new challenge after securing direct promotion last season. Throughout pre-season, Juvenil D continued to develop their playing style and showed clear signs of progress, which carried over into their league opener.

The opening stages were closely contested, although Sevilla FC gradually began to establish a greater presence in the opposition half. In the 24th minute, Pedro Marun gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot, making it 0-1.

Following the opening goal, Juvenil D maintained their organisation and successfully dealt with the home side’s attacking threat, while also creating opportunities to extend their advantage. In the 45th minute, UD Morón CF were reduced to ten men after a defender was sent off for a foul on Pedro Marun, who was through on goal as the last defender.

After the interval, Sevilla FC continued to control the match. Alejandro Ayala came close to doubling the lead with an effort from outside the box, which was well saved by the home goalkeeper, as the visitors continued to search for a second goal.

That second goal arrived in the 62nd minute. Alejandro Ruiz connected with a volley that went over the goalkeeper and into the net to make it 0-2. Sevilla continued to apply pressure when UD Morón attempted to build from the back, and their efforts were rewarded in the 77th minute when Alfonso Recio capitalised on a turnover following a strong pressing sequence to score the third.

In the closing stages, Pedro Marun found the net once again to complete his brace and seal the final 0-4 scoreline. The goal came after an assist from Dominic Gorea, who registered two assists on his first official appearance for Juvenil D.

Sevilla FC Juvenil D therefore begin their Tercera RFAF campaign with three points and an away victory, continuing the work carried out during pre-season and building on the team’s development following last season’s promotion.
