High Performance Program secures 3-0 victory over Yongin FC

The Sevilla side defeated Yongin FC’s youth team in a friendly match played at the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios
Players from the High Performance Career Program took part in a friendly match against Yongin FC’s youth team last Tuesday, September 22, with the game being played at the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios and ending in a 3-0 victory for the Sevilla side.
The match began with opportunities for both teams. The Sevilla side created the first chance of the game, although the Korean team quickly responded by creating danger of their own. In the 11th minute, Yongin FC had a clear one-on-one opportunity, but Dutch goalkeeper Naut produced an excellent save to keep the score level.
The opening goal arrived in the 23rd minute. Dominic Gorea tried his luck with a powerful effort from outside the box that struck the crossbar. Cédric Bischoff reacted quickest to the rebound and put the Sevilla side ahead.
Yongin FC continued to create chances after the opening goal, but Sevilla FC found the net again before half-time. In the 39th minute, Monsalve delivered a cross into the box which was headed home by Polish player Piotr Szymański, doubling the Sevilla side’s advantage.
After the break, the High Performance Career Program maintained its intensity and extended its lead once again. In the 52nd minute, Áron Nemeth scored the third goal after receiving a pass from Cédric Bischoff inside the box.
The Korean side looked to reduce the deficit and came close in the 68th minute, when their forward saw his effort go just wide of the post. However, the scoreline would remain unchanged until the final whistle.
The High Performance Career Program therefore closed the match with a 3-0 victory over Yongin FC, adding another competitive experience to the players’ development and football education in Seville.
