Sevilla FC D overcome Atlético Moura in Portugal

The Nervion side beat Atlético Moura Clube 0-1 in Portugal thanks to a goal from Sebastian Fineman and continue progressing in their preparations ahead of the start of the competition

Sevilla FC D played their third pre-season match last 29 August against Atlético Moura Clube, in another preparation test ahead of the start of the competition, scheduled for next 20 September. The Nervion side travelled to the Portuguese town of Moura, where they secured a 0-1 victory in a match marked by intensity and an even contest during the second half.

The match, played at the Estadio Moura Atlético Clube, began with Sevilla FC D dominating proceedings and enjoying a greater presence in the opposition half. In the opening stages, the first chance of the match arrived, with Estefan Mario shooting from outside the box, narrowly missing the far post.

The home side also had opportunities to take the lead. In the 20th minute, Nervion goalkeeper Mario Rodríguez produced an excellent save to deny the Portuguese forward.

Sevilla’s persistence was rewarded in the 39th minute. A foul caused by a back-pass outside the box allowed the Nervion side to take the lead. Sebastian Fineman, who took the free-kick, converted the opportunity to make it 0-1. In the final minutes of the first half, Atlético Moura increased their intensity in search of an equaliser, although the score remained unchanged at half-time.

After the restart, the match became more evenly contested. Atlético Moura stepped up their efforts, while Sevilla FC D continued working to maintain their advantage. In the 49th minute, goalkeeper Bob Almenas made an excellent save that allowed the Sevilla side to keep a clean sheet.

In the final stages, the Nervion side had the opportunity to extend their lead. Sergio Domínguez created the final clear chance of the match, but his effort was cleared by a home defender before it could become a second goal.

Ultimately, the 0-1 scoreline remained until the final whistle, allowing Sevilla FC D to claim another victory in their pre-season preparations and continue progressing towards the start of the season.
