Edu Mangles leads Sevilla D to victory over Atlético Sumi

Sevilla “D” delivered an excellent performance on Matchday 23 of the league season, defeating Atlético Sumi 6-1 at home. After conceding early, the side responded with character and controlled the game, led by an outstanding hat-trick from Edu Mangles

Sevilla “D” hosted Atlético Sumi on Matchday 23 of the league campaign, with both teams coming into the fixture after victories in the previous round. The home side started the day in fifth place, while the visitors sat eleventh in the standings.

The match began with an early setback for Sevilla “D”, who conceded in the opening minutes. However, the response was immediate. Just one minute later, Edu Mangles equalised after an assist from Fidel Morán.

Atlético Sumi had another chance to regain the lead, but Mario Rodríguez produced an excellent save to keep the score level. In the 34th minute, Sevilla “D” completed the turnaround. A perfectly weighted through ball from Edu Mangles found Fidel Morán in behind the defence, and the forward calmly finished to make it 2-1 before half-time.

After the break, the hosts looked to extend their advantage and did so in the 50th minute. Abdullah Aljirafi, the team’s top scorer, finished from close range after a brilliant move by Parker Byas.

With the game under control, Edu Mangles once again took centre stage, adding two more goals in the 62nd and 69th minutes to complete his impressive hat-trick.

Sevilla “D” continued to push forward until the final whistle, creating further chances. In the last minute of the match, American player Kohen Caminiti added the sixth goal to complete the emphatic 6-1 victory.

An important three points for Sevilla “D”, who continue to strengthen their position in the upper part of the table.
