The Sevilla academy side was unable to secure points in their away match against the league leaders after a demanding contest on the road. The team coached by Óscar Olomo saw its positive momentum come to an end after some consecutive matches without defeat

The match, played in Valencina, brought together two teams competing at the top end of the standings. The home side entered the fixture as league leaders, while Sevilla FC “D”, sitting fourth, approached the game aiming to continue collecting points and close the gap to the top positions.

From kickoff, the hosts appeared solid and dominant, imposing their style of play against a Sevilla side that struggled to find consistency in possession. Their superiority paid off in the 26th minute, when Valencina took the lead through a penalty kick, which Puerto Rican goalkeeper Bob Almenas came close to saving.

Despite the setback, Sevilla FC “D” responded by increasing the tempo and attempting to gain attacking momentum. However, the home defense remained well organized, and halftime arrived with a 1–0 advantage for Valencina.

After the break, in the 56th minute, an unfortunate headed back pass toward the Sevilla goalkeeper was intercepted by the opposing striker, who capitalized on the mistake to extend the lead and make it 2–0.

The Nervión-based side pushed forward in search of a comeback, creating several promising approaches, but lacked precision in the final third. In the closing stages of the match, Valencina sealed the result with a third goal, following a rebound from a penalty initially saved by Mamour Sené.

This defeat brings an end to the team’s unbeaten streak under Óscar Olomo, who will now look to regroup and maintain competitiveness among the top teams in the standings.
