Victory puts the Junior team at the top of the table
The Sevilla FC Juvenil “D “achieved a resounding victory at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground, defeating C.D. Santa Clara and moving to the top of the league standings.
The team entered the match with excellent momentum, having secured nine consecutive wins and sitting in second place. Their opponent, C.D. Santa Clara “B”, arrived in tenth position.
From the opening whistle, Sevilla FC imposed their rhythm with clear control of possession. The scoring opened in the 13th minute, when Estefan Mario converted a direct free kick. Just two minutes later, the Hungarian attacker extended the lead with a powerful volley from outside the box.
Maintaining an intense high pressing strategy, the team forced a turnover near the opposition area, allowing Estefan Mario to score the third goal. Antonio Asencio added the fourth in the 27th minute with a precise shot to the far post. Before halftime, Alejandro Piña scored twice, sending the match into the break with a 6–0 advantage.
Shortly after the start of the second half, in the 51st minute, Raúl Sánchez—from the cadete squad—made it 7–0. Additional goals followed from Alejandro Piña, who completed a four-goal performance; Estefan Mario, who achieved a hat-trick; and Áron Németh, who contributed a brace.
This victory places the team at the top of the league table by goal difference, with one match fewer than the team with which they are tied on points.
