Sevilla FC Juvenil “D” kicks off their official campaign with a 3–1 away victory

Sevilla FC Juvenil “D” began their journey in official competition with a trip to Alcalá de Guadaíra to face CD Pablo VI in the opening round of the 4th Andalusian Juvenile Division.

The Sevillista side took the lead early, when in the 9th minute Mario Estefan found the net for the first time against the home goalkeeper. After the hosts equalized before the break, an excellent second half saw David Espinel restore the lead before Salva Ballesta sealed the win with a stoppage-time strike.

The match also provided an opportunity for two cadete-age players, David Espinel and Ubaldo Martín, to feature. Both showcased the high level of Sevilla’s academy and their ability to step up categories. David scored the second goal and was key in the build-up to the third, while Ubaldo, a left-footed centre-back who played the entire second half, helped keep a clean sheet during his time on the pitch.
